TWMP: On the end of the legislative session and talking politics

On Sunday’s This Week in Missouri Politics, host Scott Faughn and the opinionmaker panel talk about the legislative session as it comes to a close. Anne Schweitzer with Public Eye STL, Jack Cardetti of Tightline Strategies, Republican candidate for state representative Phil Christofanelli, and Stoddard County prosecutor Russ Oliver discuss the Senate’s failure to override the governor’s veto on paycheck protection and other wins for the labor movement as well as the “culture wars” occurring within the legislature on issues like SJR 39. They also discuss photo voter ID going on the ballot, and the beer bill landing on the governor’s desk.

After the break they talk politics. focusing on initiative petitions, including the petition for medical marijuana. The panel also talks about the races for governor and president.
