Boys State to host forum for Republican governor candidates

WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Missouri Boys State will host a GOP Gubernatorial Forum featuring Republican candidates for Missouri Governor, Tuesday evening at the University of Central Missouri.

The American Legion Missouri Boys State is honored to host this forum and welcome Republican candidates for Governor to the program.
Scott Faughn, publisher of the Missouri Times and the host of This Week in Missouri Politics will moderate the forum.

“It’s an honor to be a part of bringing the Governor’s race to Boys State,” Faughn said. “Having the three candidates who have been Republicans for the past few years debating the state’s public policy will give these young men a tremendous view of the direction of the state they will inherit to lead.”

The forum is scheduled to begin at 6:50 p.m. at Hendricks Hall in the UCM administration building.

Boys State draws almost 1,000 high school-aged men from across the state participate in the week-long leadership and training program. The participants must have completed their junior year in high school and must have distinguished themselves as leaders in their high school and community, according to UCM, which hosts the annual program at its Warrensburg campus.
