Dentons to hold daily convention briefings during conventions

CLEVELAND – As the Republican National Convention gets underway this week, the largest law firm in the world announced Monday that it would provide briefings each day during both the Republican convention in Cleveland and the Democratic National Convention next week in Philadelphia.

Dentons designed the daily phone briefings as a service for its clients in the government and public policy sectors, but journalists have also been invited to listen in on the proceedings.

The law firm is best known in Missouri for employing lobbyists Brian Grace and Rodney Boyd.

Dentons will have members of their public policy and regulation team on the ground at both conventions relaying information during these calls which will also feature moderated discussions with former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean and Ron Kaufman, the co-chair of the Rules Committee for the this year’s RNC.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and Dentons Global Chair Joe Andrew, the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, will also be in these discussions.

If you’re interested in hearing these discussions, the calls will take place at 9:30 a.m. EST and last 30-45 minutes each day. The briefings for the Republican convention will be held daily starting Monday, July 18 through Thursday, July 21. The briefings for the Democratic convention will be held daily starting July 25-28.
