Governor’s Conference on Economic Development to focus on successful Missouri companies

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – At their annual conference, the Department of Economic Development will encourage business owners and municipal leaders to examine what made successful Missouri companies… well, successful.

This September, the Governor’s Conference on Economic Development will examine certain industries that have seen a lot of growth recently and how interested parties can integrate their own systems with some of the state’s most successful business in the fields of agricultural technology and “farmology,” tourism and others.

Another session will detail the importance of creating industrial cluster zones that connect producers and providers within industries like health care and bioscience.

The three-day long event will also invite attendees to examine how to improve quality of life, foster creativity and the arts, and how to make a successful start-up company.

The convention will take place at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center from Sept. 7-9 and is themed around the ideas of creativity, discovery and innovation.
