From Jason Kander’ Senate campaign:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 25, 2016 Contact: Anne Feldman
COLUMBIA, Mo. – This morning, Jason Kander will begin a 50-stop, statewide bus tour at the Luther Ely Smith Square in St. Louis under the Gateway Arch. The #FixCongress tour will take Jason across the state to meet with Missourians and discuss some of the biggest issues facing working families.
Jason’s #FixCongress tour will highlight the gridlock that continues to define Congress. The 114th Congress has gone down as one of the most dysfunctional, least-productive Congresses in decades, with the Senate on track to work the fewest number of days in 60 years. On July 14th, Congress left for its seven-week recess to campaign, failing to complete its job on a number of issues critical to Missourians, including: passing a Zika-response bill, appointing a new Supreme Court justice, voting on an updated Authorization for Use of Military Force to defeat ISIS, and delegating clean-up for the West Lake landfill, among a host of other issues.
The #FixCongress bus tour will take Jason to every corner of the state, with stops in St. Joseph, Monett, Poplar Bluff and Kirksville, and dozens of events in between.
