JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. –Trustees of the Missouri Farm Bureau St. Louis Area Regional Endorsement Committee have endorsed Ann Wagner (R), for re-election in the 2nd Congressional District. Wagner met with St. Louis area Farm Bureau trustees in St. Louis County on August 23.
Wagner is serving her second term in Congress and is a member of the House Financial Services Committee.
Denny Mertz, Missouri Farm Bureau board member, said during Wagner’s four years in Congress she has been an important ally for agriculture. She has a 95 percent voting record with Farm Bureau.
“I’m truly honored to have the support of the Missouri Farm Bureau and Missourians from all walks of life who share my belief in smaller, more efficient government that works for, not against, Missouri farmers,” Wagner said of the endorsement.
PAC trustees on Regional Endorsement Committees are selected by their county Farm Bureau organizations. The trustees interview candidates running in the general election, review voting records and seek their positions on issues.
