Release: Jason Kander’s Support for ObamaCare Looks Worse Every Day

JEFFERSON CITY – Jason Kander was an original supporter of ObamaCare and a new Kaiser Foundation report is spotlighting how misguided he and other liberals were in supporting the failed government program.

The new report includes Missouri data, noting that 85 percent of counties in the Show-Me State could have only one ObamaCare insurer in 2017.  With their options shrinking, Missourians who cannot afford the lone option on the ObamaCare exchange, could be forced to pay the tax penalty.

When Kander supported ObamaCare, he and others touted “choice” and “cost containment” as signature features.  Contrary to Kander’s claims, the majority of Missourians will have fewer choices as more insurance companies pull out of the ObamaCare exchanges, and health care premiums are on the rise.  In fact, Kander supports Hillary Clinton’s extreme version of ObamaCare.  Both Kander and Clinton are advocating for a public option.

“Jason Kander was an original supporter of ObamaCare, he wants to expand ObamaCare and he would not repeal ObamaCare,” said Rich Chrismer, a communications advisor to the Missouri Republican Party.  “ObamaCare proponents like Jason Kander promised choice, access and affordability and instead Missourians have limited options, bureaucratic barricades and higher costs.  One way to help repeal and replace ObamaCare is to ensure Jason Kander is never given the opportunity to vote on it in the United States Senate.”
