COLUMBIA, Mo – The St. Louis Building & Construction Trades Council today announced their endorsement of Jason Kander in his campaign for U.S. Senate. Made up of 18 affiliates, the St. Louis Building Trades will encourage its members to vote for Jason in November and work to get out the vote of union members across the region. Jason Kander will speak at a rally for his campaign hosted by the St. Louis Building Trades later today.

“Whether it is opposing bad trade deals and Right to Work or supporting rights in the workplace, Jason Kander has always fought for working Missourians, and we are proud to support him in his campaign for United States Senate,” said John J. Stiffler, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the St. Louis Building & Construction Trades Council. “While we know Jason will stand up for Missouri, Senator Blunt has turned his back on Building Trades’ members since he moved to Washington nearly 20 years ago, fighting against our work to improve the lives of thousands of Missourians and their families. We are going to work hard through November to help Jason become Missouri’s next Senator.”

Last month, the Missouri AFL-CIO formally endorsed Jason after its Executive Council previously voted to support his campaign.
