SBA List Knocks 1 Million+ Doors in Battleground States, Expands Digital Campaign

Pro-life Field Team Hits Historic Milestone in Effort to Defeat Clinton & Safeguard Pro-life Senators

Washington, D.C. – The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out announced today its ground team of more than 700 pro-life activists surpassed its goal to knock on the doors of 1 million voters in the battleground states of Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Missouri before Election Day. This is double the previous record of half a million homes visited during the 2014 cycle.

SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser commented on this major milestone, saying:

“Our 2016 ground operation is an unprecedented effort demonstrating the political muscle of the pro-life movement. SBA List and Women Speak Out have been on the ground since last October, spending the past year working with statewide pro-life activists on a massive scale to reach 1 million voters directly at their homes, cutting through the noise of television and radio ads.

“Early on we identified Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio as battleground states where we could leverage our resources to defeat Hillary Clinton and pro-abortion Senate candidates who would rubberstamp her agenda. We are talking directly to pro-life voters who, without information on the pro-life positions of candidates, may not vote or vote for the pro-abortion candidates.

“Now, in the final days of the campaign we’re contacting voters in two of the most competitive Senate races – Missouri and North Carolina – likely where control of the Senate will be decided. Pro-life voters can provide the margin of victory for pro-life candidates.”

SBA List and Women Speak Out PAC are also launching a six-figure online ad component to the campaign, concentrating on Missouri and North Carolina. Through this digital campaign, SBA List will reach 550,000 pro-life, low propensity voters multiple times online.

A Marist poll released in July found that a majority of Americans (62 percent) oppose taxpayer funding of abortion including 45 percent of those who say they are “pro-choice” and 44 percent of Democrats.

Susan B. Anthony List and its connected super PAC, Women Speak Out so far have spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, knocking on more than one million doors in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. The SBA List is a network of more than 465,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
