Galloway reports more than half of local governments did not report finances this month

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – State Auditor Nicole Galloway released a monthly report Tuesday on local government reports of their finances as required by Missouri law.

Of the 24 cities, towns or villages required to submit their finances to the state auditor’s office, only 11 did so. Among those who failed to report included Kansas City, Carl Junction, Linn and St. James. Ashland, Palmyra, Perry and eight others did submit their finances.
