Release: Senator-Elect Eigel Announces Legislative Staff

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – State Senator Elect Bill Eigel is excited to announce Jacob Scott as Chief
of Staff and Carter Ballmann as Legislative Assistant.

Jacob, originally from Savannah, Missouri is a graduate of Missouri Western State University, where he served as SGA President and is a School of Education graduate student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Jacob has been a legislative aide to Senator Rob Schaaf since 2014. Jacob is a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and serves on the advisory board to the Missouri Alpha chapter at the University of Missouri. Jacob resides in Jefferson City, Missouri.

“Jacob brings all the attributes a state senator is looking for in a Chief of Staff. He has Missouri State Senate experience, so he knows the policies and procedure of the Senate floor. He has also developed a network of relationships in the capitol, and is known for being the type of go-to diplomat other offices can work well with,” said Eigel. “His experience and professionalism will be valuable assets to the 23rd District.”

Carter Ballmann is a lifelong resident of the 23rd Senate District in St. Charles County. Carter graduated from Francis Howell Central High School in 2012 and attended St. Charles Community College and Southeast Missouri State University. Carter is a member of the Lewis and Clark Pachyderms and is a Lifetime Member of the NRA.

“Carter is a hard-working professional that I’ve gotten to know well over the past couple years. He is particularly sharp in terms of policy development and grassroots networking,” said Eigel.”I’m thrilled that Carter will get the chance to serve the constituents of the 23rd district as a member of my staff.”

Senator-Elect Eigel and his staff have been assigned to Office 226 on the second floor of the Capitol.
