Greitens taps Anheuser-Busch exec as chief of staff

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Gov.-elect Eric Greitens named Anheuser-Busch executive Michael Roche as his chief of staff Tuesday as well as naming who will fill a few other key positions.

Michael Roche works as the vice president of national affairs for the brewer, a position he has held since 2004. The former Armstrong Teasdale lawyer graduated from Washington University School of Law and served in the Army after attending West Point.

Greitens has also recruited Lucinda Luetkemeyer as his general counsel, Jennae Neustadt as his legislative director and Will Scharf as his policy director. Luetkemeyer is an attorney with the Graves Garrett Law Firm in Kansas City, Neustadt is the chief of staff for Sen. Bob Onder, and Scharf is continuing in his campaign role as policy director for Greitens.

Austin Chambers, Greitens’ campaign manager, will also remain on staff as a senior adviser.
