Hancock and Prouty form new political firm

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Two former Missouri Republican Party leaders are taking their talents to the private sector.

Former MOGOP Chairman John Hancock (pictured, featured image) and former MOGOP Executive Director Jonathon Prouty announced Wednesday the launch of Hancock & Prouty – a political research, strategy, and communications firm.

Under their leadership the past few years, the Missouri Republican Party made major gains in Missouri, especially in the executive branch when it flipped every single statewide elected office not already held by a Republican during the November elections. Prouty also contributed a great deal to the legislative gains made by Missouri Republicans during the Obama administration.

For Hancock, this endeavor marks a return back io the private political consulting practice; his former projects, John Hancock and Associates and Public Pulse Research, were both based out of St. Louis. Now, he says he is looking forward to working his new partner.

“Jonathon is a talented operative whose work has helped dozens of campaigns around the country, and he was instrumental in the recent resurgence of the state GOP,” Hancock said in a statement. “Together, we look forward to offering our clients more than four decades of experience in Missouri Republican politics as well as unparalleled relationships with grassroots activists, policy leaders, and elected officials.”

Prouty also expressed his excitement to work with a veteran like Hancock.

“There is no one in Missouri politics with more experience, skill, and integrity than John Hancock,” Prouty said. “I am excited to partner with him to develop and implement winning communications and political strategies for conservative candidates and causes.”
