Release: Missouri Democratic Party announces new political director

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Democratic Party is announcing today that Elizabeth Zerr is joining their team as Political Director. Zerr will work with grassroots organizations, elected officials, and other key stakeholders throughout the state to lead Democratic candidate recruitment and coordinate training efforts for the Party.

Missouri Democratic Party Chair Stephen Webber said, “The Missouri Democratic Party is very excited to welcome Elizabeth to our team. She has a wealth of talent and experience that will be a key asset as we continue to strengthen the Party by working hard to match the unprecedented levels of grassroots enthusiasm around the state.”

Previously, Zerr was the legislative director for Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander, playing a key role with the passage of multiple pieces of legislation, while also monitoring policy developments at the local, state, and federal levels. Zerr has also worked as deputy finance director for Jason Kander’s successful Secretary of State campaign in 2012. She was born and raised in St. Charles, Missouri.
