JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Physicians, nurses, pharmacists and members of the healthcare field are receiving a letter from members of Gov. Eric Greitens’ Cabinet in regard to the recent moves made by the executive branch in the fight against the opioid epidemic.
A letter, signed by five of the Governor’s directors, outlines the ways in which they are seeking to respond to the state’s opioid issue, including the implementation of a prescription drug monitoring program, making naloxone more readily available, establishing drug courts and funding for drug take back efforts.
