Silvey names new chief of staff

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Senator Ryan Silvey (R-Kansas City) today announces Hannah Beers as his new chief of staff. Beers, formerly Silvey’s communications director, will transition into the new role immediately.

“Hannah has proved herself invaluable to the mission of our office,” Silvey said in a statement. “I look forward to her taking on an expanded role and working together to fight for the Northland.”

“Senator Silvey is an excellent legislator and principled statesman,” Beers said. “I am honored to continue to serve the people of Clay County in this expanded role and to achieve legislative victories for the residents of Missouri.”

Nick Haynes, Silvey’s former chief of staff, is relocating to the eastern side of the state to pursue a legal career.

“I’m grateful to Senator Silvey for the opportunity to serve in his office and will continue to cheer him on from the private sector,” Haynes said.

Before joining Silvey’s office, Beers served as a staffer for Hanaway for Governor and Ashcroft for Missouri. Beers is a native of Steelville, Missouri and a 2016 graduate of Evangel University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations. She served as Evangel University student body president and as state chairman of the Missouri Federation of College Republicans.
