Millner named president of Missouri Community College Association

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Community College Association has found their next president/CEO. Brian Millner has been chosen to lead the association in their efforts to advocate on behalf of Missouri’s 12 community colleges starting on September 1.

Millner succeeds former president Rob Dixon, who took over as acting director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development back in July.

“MCCA is excited to welcome Brian to the team,” Jeff Pittman, MCCA Chairman and Chancellor of St. Louis Community College said. “Brian’s experience in higher education and economic development will be a tremendous asset to Missouri’s community colleges.”

Millner formerly served as Chief of Staff at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and as the legislative director for the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

“Community colleges are critical to developing Missouri’s workforce and growing the state’s economy,” Millner said. “I am excited and humbled by the opportunity to serve the community colleges and to help as they make a positive difference in our state.”

Millner has a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Missouri-Columbia’s Truman School of Public Affairs.

He currently lives in Columbia with his wife and two daughters and also coaches high school soccer in Ashland.
