JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Today, Governor Eric Greitens visited Kansas City and St. Louis to celebrate the growth of several companies, announcing their plans to create more than 800 jobs and invest a combined $53.3 million into their operations in Missouri.
“Our mission is more jobs and higher pay and we are getting results,” said Gov. Eric Greitens. “856 new jobs is 856 lives changed. It’s 856 families’ lives changed. We are proud to be fighting for Missouri families every day.”
Throughout the day, Gov. Greitens met with workers and leaders to walk through expansion plans for Rosnet who plans to create 50 new jobs in Parkville, Mo, Spring Venture Group who plans to create 681 new jobs in Kansas City, Mo, and Seyer Industries, Inc. who plans to create 125 new jobs in St. Louis.
Founded in 1998, Rosnet was the first web-based enterprise reporting solution for multi-unit restaurant operators. From an initial offering, the company’s products have grown to include tools that assist restaurant managers with controlling food and labor costs and many additional modules that include daily checklists, log books and inventory capabilities. Starting and growing in Missouri, Rosnet finds the state’s business-friendly climate and low cost of living attractive to do business. The company will invest more than $3.3 million to expand its facility where it today employs 66 people.
“I cannot imagine doing business in any other state,” said Gene Peters, President/CEO of Rosnet. “I am looking forward to the expansion of our staff and facilities here in Parkville. I believe that Governor Greitens has the best interests of Missouri’s businesses in mind with the economic development policies that he has proposed.”
Later, Gov. Greitens met with Spring Venture Group, a company that is adding to a workforce already bursting at the seams. The company will embark on a $25 million expansion and locate into a larger facility to accommodate its growing workforce.
Spring Venture Group is composed of experts in sales, marketing, technology, and data analytics with a focus on the customer experience. The company specializes in the senior health insurance market, serving its population with education on a complex process and offering to comparison shop multiple carriers to find the best fit, for the best price, to meet their needs. Spring Venture Groups’ focus upon culture as a key contributor to success has resulted in a publicly recognized level of employee satisfaction. Its continued commitment to innovation, high performance, and compensation has attracted talent from the Kansas City Metro, local schools, and national flagship education programs.
According to company officials, Spring Venture Group chose Kansas City, Mo. four years ago and now again today because downtown Kansas City offers the company a central location to the Kansas City Metro which allows it to recruit from the whole metro area.
“We couldn’t be more excited about growing our company in Kansas City for many years to come,” said Spring Venture Group CEO Chris Giuliani. “Downtown offers a central location in the metro for recruiting, Kansas City offers an incredible talent pool, and the activity going on downtown is very exciting to be a part of.”
This afternoon, Gov. Greitens also traveled to St. Louis to meet with Seyer Industries, Inc. who, along with new jobs, will also add approximately 70,000 square feet to their existing 120,000 square foot facility through a $25 million capital investment.
Founded in 1957 in Missouri, St. Peters-based Seyer Industries specializes in manufacturing higher-level assemblies for the aerospace and maritime industries. Seyer is a turnkey supplier with extensive in-house capabilities, including CNC machining, mechanical and electrical assembly, painting, kitting, and NADCAP-certified non-destructive testing and welding.
According to company officials, it has already added 100 employees in the last 18 months and plans to add 25-30 employees per year over the next five years.
“We are thrilled to continue to grow our operations here in St. Peters and St. Charles County,” said Seyer Industries President Chris Seyer. “The expansion will provide much-needed space for new machinery and equipment that will enable us to grow with our customers. The city, county, and state have all been very supportive throughout the planning process.”
These announcements build onto the release of the Governor’s Innovation Task Force report and are part of an exciting week focused on Missouri becoming a top state for business and job creation. At the Governor’s Conference on Economic Development, scheduled to be held in St. Louis at the Hilton Ballpark Thursday, Sept. 7, Gov. Greitens will unveil new initiatives and plans to grow Missouri’s economy.
