Cass County official announces bid to replace termed Brattin in House District 55

Cass County Clerk Michael Vinck, Republican, announces his intention to run for House District 55. Vinck seeks to replace term limited Rick Brattin.

Vinck has served as the Cass County Clerk since 2015. Since elected, Vinck ushered the county office towards increased efficiency by digitizing all documents that came though the office. During this time, the clerk office also successfully updated the election tabulation equipment.

Vinck stated, “It is an honor to serve the fine citizens of Cass as clerk, however, now is the time to take the knowledge I gained at the county level to our state capitol. During my tenure with the county office, we have seen an increase in both efficiency and effectiveness. I hope to bring that same level of thoroughness to Jefferson City to represent the people of the 55th district.”

In addition to his duties as clerk, he is also the Chairman of the Raymore Board of Zoning Adjustment.

Prior to his position as a Cass County official, Vinck spent nearly 30 years in the private sector, working in various sales & managerial positions.

Vinck has called Missouri home for nearly 40 years. He has been married to his wife Lisa for 27 years. Together, they have two grown children, Kaitlyn and Jake.

Once elected, Vinck’s priorities include streamlining the state’s complicated tax system and reforming election law. “I was glad to see the Missouri General Assembly tackle ethics reform last year, however, I would like to continue that work to ensure our elected officials are held to the highest standards. We owe it to the taxpayers.”

Vinck is an active member of the Knights of Columbus and attends church with his family in Lees Summit. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring Missouri’s great outdoors by hunting and camping. Vinck stated, “As a proud member of the NRA, I will work to protect your 2nd Amendment rights. One of my favorite pastimes is going to the range and hunting. I want to ensure future generations have the opportunity to enjoy the pastime as I have.”

Vinck has retained Axiom Strategies to consult on his campaign.
