WASHINGTON, Mo. – Lucas Dieckhaus Friday announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination to serve the citizens of Missouri’s 109th House District as their next State Representative. The seat, which is currently held by Rep. Paul Curtman, will be vacated when Curtman terms out of the Missouri House of Representatives after next year.
“Representative Curtman has served our area well for nearly seven years now,” Dieckhaus said. “I hope to continue his principled service and work hard to represent the people of northeast Franklin County. I have always had the desire to help and serve my community and have done so as a therapist. As the Representative for the 109th District, I feel I will be able to continue serving my community, but on a larger scale.”
Dieckhaus is a Licensed Professional Counselor and currently works at Mercy Hospital in Washington as a therapist. Dieckhaus is a graduate of Washington High School and a life-long resident of Franklin County; he and his wife of ten years, Rachell, reside in Washington and are the proud parents of a seven-year-old son, Abelin, and are expecting their second child in January. Dieckhaus and his family are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington.
Missouri’s 109th House District currently incorporates Union, Krakow, Labadie, Villa Ridge, St. Albans, and portions of Washington and Gray Summit.
