Columbia, Mo. – On January 6, 2018, Lieutenant Governor Mike Parson was inducted into the inaugural Missouri Farmers Care (MFC) Hall of Fame. MFC honored the Lieutenant Governor for his steadfast leadership and support of agriculture, specifically the Missouri Right to Farm constitutional amendment. He along with Congressman Jason Smith, Senator Brian Munzlinger, Representative Bill Reiboldt, and Mr. Forrest Lucas were in the inaugural class of inductees. The award was presented by Dr. Alan Wessler, Chair of Missouri Farmers Care and Vice President of Feed Operations and Animal Health, MFA Incorporated.

“To be inducted into the Missouri Farmers Care Hall of Fame is truly humbling,” said Lieutenant Governor Parson. “I am very passionate about agriculture. I can assure you that as your 47th Lieutenant Governor of Missouri, I will continue to be a strong advocate for agriculture across Missouri and across the nation,” Parson said.
“Lieutenant Governor Parson received this honor for his committed leadership during, and since, the passage of Amendment 1,” Wessler said. “You, and the inaugural class of inductees into the Missouri Farmers Care Hall of Fame, delivered steadfast, diligent, exemplary leadership and engagement,” said Wessler.
Parson was sworn in as Missouri’s 47th Lieutenant Governor on January 9, 2017. The Lieutenant Governor is the second highest constitutional office in Missouri, with both executive and legislative responsibilities.
