Catron intends to file for open District 42 seat

WARRENTON NATIVE ANNOUNCES RUN FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE

Warrenton, MO — Jessica Catron, a native of Warrenton, has announced that she plans to file to run for State Representative to replace term-limited Representative Bart Korman.

“Warren County is my home and I have a passion to fight for our families and our communities. A strong representative who will work aggressively with the state legislature on behalf of the district is vital to the necessary growth and progress,” Catron said. “Having spent almost 8 years working in the legislature, I know what it takes to be effective and how to work with people to get things done.”

Rural values and agriculture issues will be a focus of her campaign. Catron said a lack of representation for the rural way of life in Missouri had a strong influence on her decision to run.

“There will be a true vacuum of rural and agriculture knowledge after this year. I believe I can offer that to the state as a whole,” Catron continued. “I have a track record of working for the issues facing our region in the state legislature.  That experience will allow me to get right to work on day one for the people in our district.”

Catron is the only candidate at this time to officially announce plans to seek the position.

The House seat has been held for the last eight years by Republican Representative Bart Korman. The 42nd House District encompasses all of Montgomery County, the majority of Warren County, and a portion of rural St. Charles County.
