State Rep. Chris Dinkins Receives Committee Assignments for 2018 Legislative Session

 

 

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – State Rep. Chris Dinkins recently received her committee assignments for the 2018 legislative session. House Speaker Todd Richardson appointed her to serve as a member of the House Committee on Professional Registration and Licensing, as well as the Special Committee to Improve the Care and Well-being of Young People and the House Committee on Financial Institutions.

 

“I want to thank Speaker Richardson for giving me the opportunity to serve on committees that deal with many of the issues that are important to the people of my district,” said Dinkins, R-Annapolis. “Whether we’re discussing ways to reduce burdensome regulations on licensed professionals or new policies to improve the care received by young people in foster care, I will do my best to be a strong voice for my constituents.”

 

As a member of the House Professional Registration and Licensing Committee, Dinkins will work with her fellow committee members to develop policies thatwill reduce some of the burdensome government regulations that impede job growth and business creation in Missouri. Dinkins said she is committed to removing the unnecessary government regulations that stifle innovation and job creation.

 

In her service as a member of the Special Committee to Improve the Care and Well-being of Young People, she will work with her fellow committee members on policy proposals impacting the health and welfare of the thousands of children and youth in Missouri’s care. Dinkins and her colleagues will consider ideas to improve the child welfare system that is charged with the important task of protecting the most vulnerable Missourians.

 

As a member of the House Financial Institutions Committee, Dinkins will deal with bills relating to banks, banking, savings and loans, credit unions, and other financial institutions.
