Rep. Mike Kelley endorses Bill White for State Senate

Kelley cites White’s strong character, stand against corruption

JOPLIN, Mo. – Bill White, conservative Marine and State Representative for Jasper and Newton Counties, announced today that he has received the exclusive endorsement of State Representative Mike Kelley in his race for State Senate.

“I am proud to announce today that I am endorsing my friend and colleague, Bill White, for State Senate,” Rep. Kelley said. “It seems special interests and insiders would like to hand-pick our next Senator because they know Bill White is not beholden to them.  Bill has been a tireless advocate for our conservative values while serving in the Missouri House.  I’ve seen first hand his character, work ethic, and strong stand against insider deals and corruption. I know he will be a great voice for the district.”

Kelley represents parts of Dade, Jasper, Barton, and Cedar counties and has served with White since 2010.

“I’m honored to have the support of Mike in this race,” White said.  “Mike has been a great friend and ally in achieving conservative reforms while serving together in the Missouri House of Representatives. His endorsement shows the growing momentum behind our campaign. I’m a Conservative Marine who is not afraid to take on the insiders and special interest. In the State Senate, I’ll always defend our shared conservative principles while standing up for We the People.”

White currently resides in Joplin with his wife, Dr. Ellen Nichols. They have four children, Jesse, Brandyn, Amanda and Jera. In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. White is an attorney whose practice has focused on representing children, the elderly, and business law. He previously served as the Juvenile Attorney for Jasper County representing the county juvenile office in juvenile delinquency and abuse and neglect cases. White is a member of the Rotary Club of Joplin, the Marine Corps League, the American Legion, the Missouri Bar, the NRA and the Naval Institute.
