Shields announces Eastern Jackson County Listening Tour

State Senate Candidate Hillary Shields Rolls Out Listening Tour Stops

LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. – Hillary Shields, local community advocate and candidate for the Missouri State Senate, announced a 2018 Jackson County Listening Tour across Missouri’s 8th Senate District.

The Listening Tour will focus on education, job creation, and seniors. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and provide input on their priorities for the state and the issues that matter to them.

“As a candidate for the Missouri State Senate, I believe that the most important part of representing the people of Eastern Jackson County is listening to them,” said Shields. “I want to provide everyone with the opportunity to join me in discussing issues that are important to them and their families.”

The Listening Tour will include the following stops:

“I’ve heard from a lot of families throughout the district that education is a top priority for them, and I want to learn about how I can best help them if elected,” said Shields. “My neighbors in Eastern Jackson County deserve better from their elected officials and representatives in Jefferson City.”

Hillary Shields works as a paralegal and dedicates her spare time to local constituency groups as an advocate for community interests and a volunteer for several non-profits throughout the area, including AFS-USA.
