Col. Rik Combs enters race for Missouri’s 59th House District

Stresses Leadership and Vision for Missouri

Lohman, MO March 27, 2018:  Rik Combs, of Cole County, has filed to enter the race for the open 59th District seat for the Missouri House of Representatives.  Rik grew up on a cattle farm and served as a senior officer in the United States Air Force for parts of three decades before retiring and serving as CEO for the consulting firm Baron AG from 2006-2009 in Gainesville, Florida.  He and his wife, Dr. Jill Brady Combs, returned to Jefferson City in 2009 as she assumed a position with Westside Veterinary Clinic.  They live near Binder Lake with their daughter Ilse Lind and their champion greyhound Lifa.

Experience:  Multiple conflicts and commands over parts of three decades in the U.S. Air Force.  Retired as field grade officer and served in Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Southern Watch, Desert Fox, Allied Force, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom.  CEO, Baron AG, Gainesville, Florida 2006-2009.  Tested in war and peace, specializing in leadership.  Earned a B.S, M.S., and Ph.D.

Political Positions and Philosophy:  Based on free enterprise system, limited government, and liberty.  Force the government to live within its means (like Missourians do) and watch the state grow by unleashing the potential of its citizens.
