JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Rep. Sonya Anderson is looking to be the next chair of the House Republican Caucus. She is looking to take over the position currently held by Rep. Glen Kolkmeyer.
“In my final two years, I will put my experience to work for our caucus to continue pushing for conservative reforms while also helping our caucus implement the constituent service programs that will be necessary in in a tough political environment,” Anderson told her fellow caucus members. “It is time we get our constituent services into the 21st century by reviewing and revamping the programs we currently use.”
Anderson was first elected to the Missouri House in 2012 and chairs the committee on conservation and natural resources. She also sits on fiscal review, general laws, the special committee on small business, and the subcommittee of second amendment preservation.
“It has been my honor to serve in the Missouri House of Representatives for the past six years. During that time, I have worked diligently to help our caucus move our conservative agenda forward. It is my belief that this session was the most successful in passing our conservative agenda during my time here, and maybe ever,” said Anderson.
She said she plans to meet with caucus members individually to discuss her vision and plan for the caucus.
