JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Three weeks into the job and Gov. Mike Parson has been quite busy every day in his new role as the chief executive for the Show-Me State.

Parson started the week off with a major announcement, appointing Sen. Mike Kehoe as the next lieutenant governor on Monday.

“Mike is someone who will bring great experience to the Lieutenant Governor’s office as part of this administration,” Parson said. “He will provide valuable leadership experience to Missouri as well.”

That move, however, was quickly challenged by the Missouri Democratic Party.

Parson later in the week met with some of the St. Louis area’s top employers including Boeing, Schnuck Markets, Regional Business Council, Washington University, and Mercy Hospital. The Governor also was scheduled to meet individually with St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger.

On Thursday, Parson traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet with President Donald Trump and Cabinet members.
