JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The annual address where lawmakers hear from the Chief Justice of the Missouri Supreme Court is set to take place next week.
The State of the Judiciary is scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, 2019, in the House of Representatives Chamber. The House is expected to begin session at 10 a.m. and convene a joint session with the Senate. The address will follow.
Missouri Chief Justice Zel M. Fischer will deliver the speech for the second time. Last year he called treatment courts the “front lines” of the opioid battle.
The address is expected to be streamed live from the Missouri House of Representatives website, https://house.mo.gov/.
