This Week in the Governor’s Office: Week of Jan. 21, 2019

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Gov. Mike Parson played host to different groups throughout Missouri this week before hitting to road to promote workforce development and infrastructure.

Parson was in attendance for the MU Geyer Award Ceremony on Tuesday, which recognized the work of public officials and citizens who make a positive impact on higher education.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Parson met with member of the St. Louis Chamber of Commerce and the Missouri Corn Growers board of directions in Jefferson City. The main points of discussion was the administrations top two priorities: infrastructure and workforce development.

Missouri’s Governor then hit the road to Kansas City where workforce development and infrastructure were discussion focal points.

This week, the Senate started the process of vetting Parson’s interim appointments to various boards and commission. Nearly two dozen appointees were voted out of committee to the Senate floor on Wednesday.
