O’FALLON, Mo. – State Representative Nick Schroer, an attorney from O’Fallon representing the 107th District, has been selected as Chairman of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, also known as JCAR. The Joint Committee on Administrative Rules is the legislative body charged with overseeing the state’s regulatory process and is empowered to review every rule issued by state agencies.

“I am honored to be chosen to serve as Chairman of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules. State regulations have a large impact on Missourians’ day-to-day lives, and reducing the regulatory burden has always been one of my top priorities. As Chair of JCAR, I will work hard to make sure the rules that state agencies propose are responsible and impose as little burden as possible upon Missouri families and small businesses.”

Schroer, a Republican, was elected to serve the 107th District in 2016. He is an attorney who works for a growing local company in the building supply industry. He lives in O’Fallon with his wife and two daughters.
