This Week in the PSC: March 13, 2019

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Public Service Commission tackled a few agenda items Wednesday morning.

The commission approved an order from Wisper ISP requesting a rehearing and reconsideration for designation as an eligible telecommunications carrier to receive federal universal service support from the FCC Connect America Fund. The commission approved the order unanimously.

After some discussion, the PSC decided to postpone deciding on an order regarding a certificate of convenience and necessity request from the Missouri-American Water Company. The water utility company is seeking authorization to install, own, acquire, construct, operate, control, manage, and maintain a sewer system in Clinton County.

The commission also denied an Accounting Authority Order (AAO) request from Spire Missouri Inc., a natural gas distribution company, for its commission assessment for the 2019 fiscal year. The commission said there was no extraordinary circumstance that warranted an AAO.

The PSC plans to meet again next Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
