Madeline Orling Connolly to fill 22nd Circuit judicial vacancy

An associate judge in St. Louis has been selected to step up as judge.

On Friday, Gov. Mike Parson appointed Madeline Orling Connolly as circuit judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit. She will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Mark H. Neill.

Connolly was previously practicing as a circuit attorney in the city of St. Louis and then went on to private practice before becoming an associate circuit judge in St. Louis City. She earned a B.S. in business administration from Valparaiso University and a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law.

The other candidates nominated for the opening by the 22nd Circuit Judicial Commission were Nicole Colbert-Botchway and Matthew C. Melton. In total, 36 people applied for the position.
