— The Missouri Republican Party announced today that Allen West is set to be the keynote speaker at the Midwest Republican Leadership Conference this September.
A former Republican Congressman from Florida, West currently frequents the Conservative media market. He is the director for PJ Media’s Next Generation program, and the creator of the Allen West Foundation, which seeks to “educate and inspire the next generation of conservative leaders among the minority and veteran communities.”
“Some guys walk the walk and then are guys that talk the talk. Colonel West is that unique blend of both,” MRP Chairman Ed Martin said in a statement. “He was a war hero, a conservative lawmaker, and is an American original.”
Among the other speaker’s set for the conference include former presidential candidate Rick Santorum, Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and State Auditor Tom Schweich, among others.
The leadership conference is Sept. 13-15 at the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center.
