This Week in the Governor’s Office: Week of November 4

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Gov. Mike Parson launched a $5 million rural broadband grant program and focused on numerous infrastructure projects across the state this week. 

The Republican chief executive toured bridges in Hickory and Henry counties. Specifically, Parson saw the Missouri Route 82 bridge redeck over Hogles Creek in Hickory County east of Osceola and the Missouri Route 18 bridge rehabilitation in Henry County west of Clinton.

He also took a look at the Route T overpasses on I-29 in Andrew County

Additionally this week, Parson signed an executive order closing state offices on Nov. 29, the day after Thanksgiving. 

The Governor’s Office unveiled October 2019 revenue numbers. Parson credited a focus on workforce development and infrastructure for the increase in revenue from last year.
