JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Republican committeeman and business owner Hardy Billington looks to be well on his way in his bid to claim the 152nd District Seat.
In his first quarterly finance report, the candidate ended the quarter with an excess of 100 individual contributors and more than $85,000 on hand, a strong start for his mission to fill the seat that will be vacated by Speaker Todd Richardson.
“I am truly humbled to have such strong support from my friends and neighbors in the 152nd District, and I want to thank everyone who has contributed to my campaign and offered to volunteer their time,” Billington said in a release. “I can think of no greater honor than to serve as a voice for our region’s commonsense, conservative ideals in the Missouri House, and I truly hope to have the opportunity to do so. Our state is facing numerous challenges, but I am confident that by embracing fiscal responsibility and conservative values we can keep Missouri on the right track.”
In addition to the funding report, Billington also announced the addition of two members to his campaign team.
The J. Harris Company has been hired to serve as General Consultant for the campaign and will be responsible for strategic planning. The J. Harris Company boasts a nearly 90 percent win rate and has worked on several national and statewide campaigns in a dozen states.
Axiom Strategies will be providing voter contact services for Billington’s campaign, handling the digital and direct mail advertising, an area they know in and out, as it’s the largest mail firm in the nation.
Billington is the former owner of Billington Heating and Cooling, which he owned for 11 years before selling it in 2000. He served in the Army National Guard from 1977 to 1989, at which time he was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant.
