KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Democratic House Victory Committee is pushing forward as the next legislative session prepares to begin, and Democrats are looking to gain ground following the November 2016 election.
The latest fundraising event, held in Kansas City, drew in more than 150 people on Tuesday evening. The crowd heard from keynote speaker, Jason Kander, who has only increased his presence in the political world following his loss to Sen. Roy Blunt.
The event, which took place at Travois in the Crossroads District, attracted a number of former and current House members, as well as several candidates who are seeking House and Senate seats.
“On the same night that folks in Alabama elected a Democrat to the U.S. Senate for the first time in a quarter-century, Missouri Democrats saw an incredible showing of support for our efforts in 2018,” Rep. Greg Razer said. “I’m excited that the momentum is now ours to begin chipping away at the ruling party’s grip on Jefferson City.”

Democrats managed strong showings in the last few special elections, and as the Victory Committee continues moving forward, they continue pushing forward their message of change and partisan balance.
