ST. LOUIS — The Missouri Hemp Trade Association has team up with Midwest Canna Expos to host “the largest educational and networking hemp event in the Midwest.”
The Midwest Industrial Hemp Forum and Expo will be held at historic Union Station in St. Louis on August 29-30, 2019.
“I am incredibly honored to present an event that is guaranteed to change so many people’s lives for the better,” said Karin Chester, CEO of Midwest Canna Expos. “The first annual Midwest Industrial Hemp Forum+Expo is the best opportunity for individuals to learn the ins and outs while finding their place in this booming industry.”
The expo floor is set to feature more than 65 exhibitors providing attendees full access to vendors and service providers who are provide products and services to the hemp industry. A news release touts, “with three educational tracks led by over fifty of the hemp industry’s most knowledgeable experts, all attendees are guaranteed a plethora of knowledge and expertise.”
Hemp is expected to be planted next spring for the first time in several decades. The Missouri Department of Agriculture issued draft rules for the fledgling industry in January, and in May, the Missouri General Assembly passed a law easing restrictions placed on the crop when it was legalized in 2018.
“Hemp is a better choice and is most definitely our future, establishing Missouri’s footprint in this competitive market is reliant on proper education,” says Tyler Morgan, President of Missouri Hemp Trade Association.
