Local entrepreneur and restaurateur, Vic Allred, announces campaign for state representative

PARKVILLE, Mo. – Conservative Entrepreneur and Restaurateur, Vic Allred, has announced his campaign to replace term-limited State Representative Nick Marshall.  Allred is the current owner or co-owner of five New Orleans themed French Quarter cafés, called Jazz, A Louisiana Kitchen. Allred says he developed his love for the hospitality industry during his high school years.

“I started as a dishwasher at the renowned chain, The New Orleans House restaurants,” Allred said.  “I worked hard and continued to be promoted until, eventually, I was the Kitchen Manager while still finishing my education through high school and eventually my college diploma”.

Allred said his experience as a businessman and entrepreneur has shaped his views on public policy.  “As a business owner, I’ve seen first hand how the strong arm of government regulation can drive folks out of business. As State Representative, I want to create an environment where businesses can start and thrive in our local economies,” Allred stated.

Fighting for lower taxes, promoting pro-business legislation, improved transportation and supporting Missouri’s law enforcement officers are just a few of the issues Allred plans on tackling while in the state legislature.

Allred currently has the privilege to serve as a Board of Director for the National Restaurant Association representing the State of Missouri and also serves on the Executive Committee of Visit KC, an organization dedicated to promoting the tourism industry in the Greater Kansas City Region.  He also is a past Chairman of the Missouri Restaurant Association and Past President of the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Associations.

Vic and his wife, Theresa, live in Parkville and have four children, Brittney, Trey, Mark, and Maria .  When not working, Allred is active in the Boy Scout Program. An Eagle Scout himself,  Allred has served as a Boy Scout Master for his sons, both of whom achieved the rank of Eagle.
