JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A new statewide video ad is accusing Republican U.S. Senate candidate Josh Hawley of looking the other way in his investigation of Gov. Eric Greitens and his office’s use of the Confide app.
The Senate Majority PAC (SMP) released the ad on Tuesday, saying that Hawley, the current Missouri Attorney General, dropped the case and took the Governor and his staff at their word, rather than holding donors accountable.

The ad also notes that AG Hawley’s campaign received $50,000 from Greitens.
“A pattern is starting to emerge, Attorney General Josh Hawley can’t be trusted to properly investigate major donors and political allies,” said Chris Hayden, SMP Communications Director. “With Jefferson City in turmoil, Josh Hawley has shirked his responsibility and refused to uphold his campaign promises showing Missouri voters that he can’t be trusted to fight for them in the U.S. Senate.”
