Pence fundraises for Hawley in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — Vice President Mike Pence traveled to St. Louis on Thursday to tout President Donald Trump’s success and attend fundraisers for two Republican candidates.

On of the fundraisers was for U.S. Senate candidate Josh Hawley, currently Missouri’s Attorney General. Hawley is likely the Republican that challenges U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill in November.

The fundraiser was not open to the public. Hawley was on hand at the America First Policies event to introduce Pence.

In his speech, Pence promoted Trump’s tax plan, talked about increased defense spending and the administration’s view on Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Trump is schedule to be in Kansas City on Tuesday. He will be giving an address to a national veterans convention and attending a fundraiser for Hawley.
