Rate remains unchanged for residential customers
JEFFERSON CITY—The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a request filed by KCP&L-Greater Missouri Operations Company (KCP&L-GMO) to continue the renewable energy standard rate adjustment mechanism (RESRAM) charge that currently appears on the monthly electric bills of KCP&L-GMO customers.
The RESRAM charge, which appears as a separate item on the monthly electric bill, is designed to recover costs associated with Missouri’s Renewable Energy Standard.
For a typical residential customer using 867 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity a month, the current RESRAM charge is approximately $0.81 a month. That charge will remain the same.
KCP&L-GMO serves approximately 316,600 electric customers in Missouri.
