Stone County Assessor Hudson announces candidacy for 138th District

Stone County Assessor Brad Hudson announces his intent to serve the people of Missouri’s 138th District as their State Representative. Current office holder, Representative Don Phillips, will be exiting due to term limits. Hudson is currently serving his third term as Stone County Assessor and he hopes to continue his public service by representing his community in Jefferson City.

Hudson resides in Stone County with his wife Carissa and their two children, Bethany and Daniel. He is an active member of the Stone County Republican Central Committee and has been heavily involved in campaigns and conservative issues over the past decade.

“I am a proven conservative. Shortly after taking office as assessor in 2009, the state significantly reduced funding to county assessors across Missouri. Thanks to conservative budgeting principles and a dedicated staff, I was able to get the budget back on track by the end of the year, with a budget surplus, no less. Since 2012, I have worked with leaders at both the state and county level to reduce the amount of general revenue funds my office required for operation, saving taxpayers over a quarter of a million dollars.”

In addition to serving as President of the Southwest Missouri Assessor’s Association, he is also a member of the Missouri Farm Bureau. Hudson knows that agriculture is crucial to Missouri’s economy and is dedicated to promoting rural interests.

Hudson received his degree in Biblical Studies at the Midwest College of Theology, he has worked in Christian ministry since 2005. For the past four years, he has served as Senior Pastor at Blessing Heights Worship Center.

“If elected, I pledge to approach state government with the same fiscal soundness that I have brought as an assessor at the county level. I take pride in my conservative values and would be honored to continue to serve as a strong leader for the people of the 138th.”

Hudson retained Axiom Strategies to consult on his campaign. For more information, visit www.brad4mo.com
