12:20 – Sen. Chappelle-Nadal has begun speaking on issues affecting her district, monologues on Bridgeton nuclear waste dilemma, Ferguson, lack of a student transfer bill and difficulties with education and schools, esp. Riverview Gardens and Normandy, the unaccredited districts. Extremely impassioned and lengthy, calling out Gov. Jay Nixon as “pathetic.”

1:00 – Sen. Schaaf inquires Sen. Chappelle-Nadal about the nuclear waste problem in Bridgeton.
1:12 – Sen. Schaaf is now talking about the proposed new stadium in St. Louis. Says opposition to the governor’s plan to build it’s about it is about the “power of the purse of the legislative branch and the representatives of the people’s decision to increase debt or not.”
1:23 – Sen. Kehoe requests to hear messages from the House. Voting probably starting soon.

4:38 – Senate chamber called back to order
4:40 – Sen. Schaefer is talking about the Planned Parenthood videos. Schaefer is a member of the Sanctity of Life Committee, and he is discussing with the chamber the findings of the committee so far.
4:45 – Sen. Sifton takes his own point of personal privilege to discuss the sustain of the governor’s veto in the House on right-to-work. Also detailing former Pro Tem Tom Dempsey’s bipartisanship and honesty. Says he looks forward to working with the new majority leadership.
4:51 – Sen. Schaaf has 21 signatures on a letter he will send to Gov. Nixon. Letter opposes putting tax dollars into debt for a new stadium in St. Louis.
