Ben Brown, one of the most vociferous opponents of COVID-19 shutdown measures in Missouri, announced his run for state Senate Tuesday.

Senate President Pro Tem Dave Schatz presented a bill meant to discourage "illegal gaming" machines in Missouri before a committee this week.
"It makes me feel a little better about Missouri that a person like that can ascend to leadership in our state legislature."
There is one Democrat chairing a committee this year.
