The Senate Judiciary Committee heard a bill Monday that would redirect coronavirus stimulus payments from inmates to victims of crime.
The Missouri Senate easily passed Sen. Tony Luetkemeyer’s COVID liability protection bill Tuesday morning, sending it to the lower chamber.
The bill was on deck for nearly 15 hours Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning as senators debated just how much protection businesses should get from coronavirus-related lawsuits.
