“I think the show is a tremendous asset to let the public know what’s going on in state politics,” Columbia-area state Senator Kurt Schaefer said. “It’s great for people to have access to unbiased objective reporting and be able to get candid interviews with state public policy makers that isn’t available anywhere else.”

“The show has gotten off to a tremendous start, and the support has been humbling,” Faughn said. “We couldn’t be more excited to have our existing Missouri Times readers make This Week in Missouri Politics part of their Sunday mornings.”

“It’s great that This Week in Missouri Politics will start airing in mid-Missouri,” said Columbia resident Jenn Tunink. “I’m a Missouri Times reader and can’t wait to start watching the show on Sundays because its important to me to stay informed about the state’s direction.”

Next Sunday’s show will have a distinctive mid-Missouri flair featuring Senator Kurt Schaefer (R-Boone County), chairman of the powerful Senate Budget Committee that is so vital to the University of Missouri, Representative Caleb Jones (R-Boone County), and Sean Nicholson of Progress Missouri, also based in Columbia.

“The Missouri Times is providing valuable coverage of the state capitol and it’s only natural that This Week in Missouri Politics would be expanding into the Columbia-Jefferson City market. The show will be an asset to this part of the state that is very interested in state government,” said Representative Caleb Jones.

This Week in Missouri Politics currently airs Sundays on ABC 30 in St. Louis at 11:00, at 10:30 on KBSI FOX 23 in southeast Missouri, and all episodes are streamed online at noon at www.twmp.tv.
