TWMP: Wagner on Trump and the presidential race

On This Week in Missouri Politics, Congresswoman Ann Wagner discusses her son’s service on a special Memorial Day edition of the show with host Scott Faughn. She also talks about keeping the National Geospatial Agency despite ongoing efforts by Illinois delegates to move it across the river and her ongoing fight against sex trafficking.

Wagner also announces she will be voting Donald Trump for president, though she stresses conservative leaders still need to vet the candidate for his policies and principles to ensure they are consistent with the party.

“We all want to galvanize behind the Republican nominee and make sure we don’t have four more years of this Obama White House,” she says.

Faughn also floats the idea of being a vice presidential candidate, which she was open to.

In the opinion maker panel, Faughn talks with Joe Lakin with Victory Enterprises; Mark Dalton of the Carpenters District Council of Greater St. Louis; Braxton Payne with the Kelley Group, and Rep. Kathie Conway, R-St. Charles. They discuss the Trump campaign and its effect on Missouri’s down ballot races, the possibility of Clinton losing the labor vote, and Chris Koster’s renewed focus on business.

This Week in Missouri Politics airs Sunday mornings regularly on KRCG in Mid-Missouri at 6:00 a.m. and KDNL in St. Louis at 11:00 a.m., and is available online Sunday afternoons at twmp.tv. Because of Memorial Day, TWMP will air in St. Louis at 4:30 p.m.
