KC Board of Election Commissioners welcomes new chair

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – J. Casey Martin chaired his first meeting of the Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners last Wednesday.

Martin was appointed as chairman of the board earlier this year by Gov. Jay Nixon and confirmed by the Senate.

Martin also works as an attorney at Husch Blackwell, working on business start-ups, mergers, acquisitions, corporate governance and real estate.

He’s been recognized as a “Super Lawyer — Rising Star” and has volunteered with Americorps, Turn the Page KC and Lead to Read.
