Annual labor-management conference to take place next week

LAKE OZARK, Mo. – The Mid-America Labor/Management Conference will begin Sunday at the Lake of the Ozarks, marking one of the labor community’s largest yearly conventions.

The conference focuses on building relationships and providing networking opportunities between labor and management, while focusing on issues like employment law changes, workers’ compensation, safety regulations, economic development tools, re-emerging industries and government agency resources. It is hosted by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial
Relations.

The conference takes place from July 10-13 at the Camden on the Lake Resort, and will include a golf tournament and banquet. Featured guests will include Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway; Matthew Capece from Carpenters International; Esther George, the President and CEO, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City; and former Seattle Supersonics and New Orleans Jazz NBA player Isaac “Bud” Stallworth.
